I'm Ashley, a 26-year-old writer and researcher based in Northern Nevada.

I completed my Master's in Literacy at the University of Nevada, Reno. Currently, I work for a technology startup called ShortStack and I'm the founder/editor of The New Artemis, a web magazine about gear and exploration.

In 2012, I was awarded Journalist of Merit by the Nevada Press Association. I'm active in civic service, previously serving as the director of the nonprofit Northern Nevada Tool Library. Currently, I volunteer as an emergency responder, ham radio operator and with the Girl Scouts of America. I've also previously served as a teacher: a college English teacher at Truckee Meadows Community College and the co-teacher for Spark Lab: Maker Camp for Teens.
